First 5k Race...DONE!!!
Soooo, tonight I ran in my first race. I am soooo freaking stoked!! I’ve made a regular habit of lifting, cycling, swimming and running…but I still wasn’t confident with running on asphalt or concrete for distances more than 1 mile speed training thanks to my knee and being incredibly afraid of ever damaging it again.

Living on a small, isolated island....
Is not always as romantic as it sounds.
I miss when simple every day tasks weren’t so frustrating, necessities didn’t cost half as much as my weekly rent, and people were uplifting rather than succumbing to tall poppy syndrome.
I’m sure when I’m back in the US, I’ll say I miss living on an exotic, beautiful island, learning about a different culture.
